車輪餅是一種源自日據時代的台灣傳統小吃,也被稱為紅豆餅或今川燒,
因為它的外形像車輪,因此得名。隨著時代的演進,車輪餅不僅保留了傳
統的製作方式,還不斷推陳出新,加入各種新穎的餡料,成為台灣飲食文
化的一部分。來自桃園以復刻眷村老味道的馬祖新村,就是傳承這款美味
的代表商店,最近又回歸台中,悄悄地進駐在我們中部門面台中國際機場。
Wheel cakes, a traditional Taiwanese snack that originated during the Japanese colonial period,
are also known as "red bean cakes" or "Imagawayaki." They are named after their wheel-like shape.
Over time, wheel cakes have not only preserved their traditional preparation methods but have also
continually evolved, incorporating various innovative fillings, making them an integral part of
Taiwan's food culture. Mazu Village, a shop in Taoyuan that revives the nostalgic flavors of old
military dependents' villages, is a representative business for this delicious treat. Recently, it has
made a quiet return to Taichung, setting up shop at Taichung International Airport in central Taiwan.
