[台中小吃][豐原420]【豐原廟東夜市】廟東魚翅螃蟹羹、清蒸肉圓+金樹冰果室鳳梨冰(台中美食 台中旅遊 在地人也愛吃)
這家位於豐原廟東巷子口的魚翅螃蟹羹,算起來也是廟東人氣店之一。晚上老婆說想外出覓食,車子開著開著就開到豐原廟東來。從頭到尾先巡了一遍,後來決定落腳這家看起來很好吃的店。

This Shark Fin and Crab Thick Soup stall, located at the entrance of Fengyuan Miaodong Alley, is one of the most popular spots in the area. My wife wanted to go out for food tonight, and we ended up driving to Miaodong Night Market. After checking out all the options, we decided to settle on this appetizing-looking stall.
南部風味:皮Q肉鮮的清蒸蝦仁肉圓
這家店只供應兩種菜色:清蒸蝦仁肉圓以及魚翅螃蟹羹。清蒸蝦仁肉圓屬於南部的口味,其實冰箱平時不太偏好清蒸肉圓,因為外皮容易軟爛。不過,廟東這家雖然是清蒸做法,皮吃起來不但不會爛還QQ的唷!

This stall serves only two dishes: Steamed Shrimp Meatballs (Ba-Wan) and Shark Fin Crab Thick Soup. The steamed meatballs follow a southern Taiwanese style. Personally, I usually don't like steamed meatballs because the skin tends to be too soft. However, this stall's version surprised me—the skin is chewy and bouncy rather than mushy.
一分三個肉圓要價45元,雖然單價稍高,但皮Q、餡多,除了滿滿的五香肉餡外,還有一整尾的蝦仁,真材實料。醬料包括蒜苗、辣椒、蒜泥及醬油膏,出餐時都會預先加好,不吃辣記得提早說。連老婆這個道地台南人都說讚!

An order of three meatballs costs 45 NTD. While slightly expensive, they are truly authentic with chewy skins and generous filling. Each one contains five-spice seasoned pork and a whole shrimp. The sauces—garlic sprouts, chili, minced garlic, and soy paste—are added by default. My wife, a true Tainan local, gave it her seal of approval!
靈魂湯品:鮮甜濃郁的魚翅螃蟹羹
魚翅螃蟹羹一碗55元,份量雖然精巧,但搭配肉圓剛好八分飽,非常舒暢。湯底除了高麗菜外,還加了大量柴魚片熬煮,香氣濃郁。配料有水翅(人工魚翅)、蟹管肉、金針與蛋花,料多味美。我曾看過店家拿整隻紅蟳手工挖肉,鮮美程度可想而知。

The Shark Fin Crab Thick Soup costs 55 NTD per bowl. The portion size is perfect when paired with the meatballs. The broth is brewed with cabbage and a large amount of bonito flakes, giving it a rich aroma. It’s packed with ingredients like imitation shark fin, crab meat, lily flowers, and egg drops. I’ve even seen them hand-picking meat from fresh crabs here before!
完美收尾:金樹冰果室的清涼鳳梨冰
這頓晚餐一人剛好100元,非常划算。按照慣例,來到廟東一定要來杯鳳梨冰才算完美結尾。大杯鳳梨冰30元,甜度剛好,冰涼解膩,喝下去真的很爽快!

雖然台中市區還有許多小吃還沒分享,不過有時候到舊台中縣遛達遛達也是不錯的。再過不久,台中縣就要變成歷史名詞囉,用吃的東西來為這個歷史做個見證也不錯呀!這天下午跟老婆開著車晃呀晃的來到沙鹿,尋找記憶中那個很久沒造訪的老味道。

While there are still many snacks in Taichung City to share, sometimes it's nice to wander around the old Taichung County. This time, I visited Shalu to find a nostalgic flavor that I hadn't visited for over 20 years: "Ba-Wan Fu" (Meatball Fu), a legendary shop that has been open since the 1930s.
二十年後的尋根:鎮南路老店
肉圓福聽說不只一家,省道旁也有一家。我執著於小時候印象是在巷子裡面,所以才來到鎮南路的這家老店。這間從民國二十年代就開張的肉圓店,算一算,我可能已經有二十年以上沒來吃了。這回抱著帶老婆「尋根」的心情(因為冰箱的故鄉嚴格算起來是沙鹿隔壁的梧棲),嚐嚐記憶中的老味道也還滿有趣的。
經典主角:五香肉餡 Q 彈肉圓
肉圓 (一顆30元):皮跟我常吃的彰化肉圓有點不同,比較 Q。裡面的五香肉餡給得很阿沙力,相當大塊又香又好吃。醬料方面,跟別的地方比較起來,就比較沒有那麼甜,是我喜歡的古早味。雖然醬料不是很甜,但老婆這台南人竟然也說好吃,可見實力確實厲害!
海線特色:清湯肉羹與脆腸湯
這碗是我們海線特有的肉羹湯 (30元),有別於一般勾芡的肉羹,海線的是清湯喔!赤肉裹上番薯粉,配合蘿蔔絲以及豬大骨湯頭,這碗就是冰箱很懷念的味道。另外這碗脆腸湯 (30元),新鮮鵝腸汆燙後加上高湯跟酸菜,鵝腸脆、酸菜香,是我非常喜歡的湯品。
小菜點了一盤乾花枝 (50元)。汆燙過的花枝淋上蒜蓉醬油,配上香菜薑絲,雖然是很簡單的味道,但整體上來說還不錯吃。

此文僅留作歷史紀錄,Dencio's 在菲律賓其他地區仍有分店。
這趟到菲律賓,又回復之前忙碌的狀態。離開馬尼拉的前一天,冰箱前往位於馬尼拉北方兩小時車程的 TARLAC 拜訪客戶。TARLAC 這個地方大家可能不太熟悉,不過提到十多年前爆發過的平納土波火山可能大家就有點印象,這城市就在火山的附近。

On this trip to the Philippines, I returned to my busy state. The day before leaving Manila, I visited a client in TARLAC, a two-hour drive north of Manila. You might not be familiar with TARLAC, but you probably recall the eruption of Mount Pinatubo over a decade ago—this city is near the volcano.
忙碌告一段落,也到了午餐時間,於是就前往鬧區覓食去囉。今天選擇的這家叫做 DENCIO'S 的餐廳,是一間連鎖餐廳,供應的是道地的菲律賓菜色!這回到菲國,菲律賓菜還吃得真多呀 XD
