福記肉圓在台南應該算是有名的老字號，我上一次吃到的時候還沒有過十八歲生日。這次趁著到台南慶生的機會，回程的時候特別繞過去吃，重溫那記憶中的府城滋味。
Fu-Ji Ba-Wan (Meatballs) is a well-known time-honored establishment in Tainan. The last time I ate here was before my 18th birthday. Taking the opportunity of a birthday trip to Tainan, I made a special detour on my way back to revisit this classic Tainan flavor.
福記肉圓就位於台南市的孔廟對面，再次造訪發現老店其實沒什麼改變。唯一不一樣的是，蒸肉圓已經使用瓦斯爐取代古早味燒柴火的大灶。雖然少了那點柴燒味，但老字號的氣息依然不減。
Fu-Ji Ba-Wan is located right across from the Tainan Confucius Temple. Re-visiting this old shop, not much has changed. The only difference is that they now use gas stoves instead of traditional wood-fired stoves to steam the meatballs. While the wood-fired aroma might be gone, the atmosphere of a heritage shop remains.
老實說，我已經忘記第一次吃的口味是如何？只記得就很好吃。所以這次去也算是重新再體驗一次！這簡單的清蒸肉圓，內餡沒有過多調味，整個口感就是清淡鮮美，非常有府城的優雅風格。
To be honest, I had forgotten the exact taste from my first visit, only remembering that it was delicious. So this trip was a chance to re-experience it! These simple steamed meatballs feature fillings without excessive seasoning, resulting in a light and fresh flavor that represents the elegant style of Tainan cuisine.
店家還有準備免費的大骨清湯讓客人自取，灑上切碎的芹菜與香菜末，清清淡淡得很好喝，也不會搶了肉圓的味道。如果有到府城一遊，記得過來嚐嚐這在孔廟對面好吃的古早味喔！
The shop also provides free self-service pork bone soup. Sprinkled with chopped celery and cilantro, it is a refreshing broth that doesn't overpower the taste of the meatballs. If you are visiting Tainan, don't forget to stop by and try this delicious traditional taste across from the Confucius Temple!
