每一道洪流，都是從滴水開始產生的，這也是溯溪給人最大的啟示。溯溪這名詞我老早以前就知道了，不過要做這件事我可是想都沒想過。我只能說，這趟旅程充滿了太多的驚奇。每一件都是到了現場才臨時趕鴨子上架去完成的。

Every torrent begins with a single drop of water—this is the greatest lesson river trekking teaches us. I've known the term "River Trekking" for a long time, but I never thought I'd actually do it. This trip was full of surprises, with everything happening spontaneously on the spot.

趕鴨子上架：直到現場才知要溯溪
我一直到下了吉普車還搞不清楚要溯溪辣！！！
一直到我們的嚮導跟我們說：「你們有沒有拖鞋啊？」這時我是很開心的拿出我的拖鞋來換，後來他說：「要涉水喔！」我才突然明白等等的行程是有點硬斗的.... 囧rz
後知後覺就是像我這樣的人辣，但是頭都已經剃了，還能不洗嗎？要溯溪就來吧！！！頂多腳斷掉、被水流走、摔下溪谷.... 反正當時心情很亂辣！沒關係，身為男人就要有冒險的精神... 溯溪我來了~~~~

I didn't realize we were going river trekking until we got off the jeep! It wasn't until our guide asked, "Do you have slippers?" and then added, "We have to wade through water!" that I suddenly realized this trip was going to be tough. But since I was already there, I had to go through with it. Bring it on! At worst, I'll break a leg or get washed away... Anyway, I'm here now, river trekking, here I come!

正式涉水：管你穿什麼鞋
沒錯！！這就是溯溪方式。管你腳上踩什麼鞋子，就是直接從水裡走過去就對了！跟後面的"路況"比起來，前面這個都算小 CASE，可列入"平路"等級。還好水流雖然湍急，但是卻不深，一路上最深大概到大腿吧？所以即使不小心滑倒也不會滅頂。只是身上背著一台 LEICA，壓力也是粉大的呀~~~

That's right! This is river trekking. No matter what shoes you're wearing, you just walk straight through the water! Compared to what lay ahead, this was just a warm-up. The water was fast but not deep, mostly thigh-high at most. But carrying a LEICA camera made it quite stressful!
火山惡地：硫磺與脆弱地質
途中發現河床上有硫磺滲出的痕跡，提醒我這裡真的是一個火山地帶喔~

Along the way, I found traces of sulfur oozing from the riverbed, reminding me that this really is a volcanic zone~
在這些地方附近，可以發現一些流水是溫的，也就是野溪溫泉。不過由於水很淺，洗洗腳可以，要泡就比較有難度囉~~~ 水裡還可以發現一些蝌蚪喔...

Near these places, you can find some warm flowing water, which are wild hot springs. However, since the water is shallow, you can only wash your feet; soaking would be difficult~~~ I also found some tadpoles in the water...
一路上的地形，真的叫人嘆為觀止。河谷土質看來鬆軟，說真的讓人覺得有點恐怖。好像只要大水流過，全部就會崩塌下來一樣。

The terrain along the way is breathtaking but also terrifying. The soil in the river valley looks soft and unstable, as if a flood could cause a collapse at any moment.
之後，因為不斷的涉水，所以暫時先把小黑收到包包裡面比較保險。旅程中我問了一下嚮導大概的距離，他說從吉普車停車處到終點約有十五公里的腳程。媽媽咪呀~ 走平路十五公里就可能會死人了，更何況這種 OFF ROAD 的狀態？？雖然我自己覺得是還好辣，畢竟以前在陸戰隊當過步兵也有訓練過。可是朋友就辛苦囉，因為平常根本沒在走路咩~~~

I put my camera away because of the constant wading. The guide said it's a 15km trek to the end. Mamma Mia! 15km on flat ground is tough enough, let alone off-road! I was fine thanks to my Marine infantry training, but my friend, who rarely walks, suffered quite a bit.
發現源頭：滴水成河的啟示
河床越來越小，水也越來越清澈。走約兩個小時之後，我知道我們快要到達目的地了。

The riverbed is getting smaller, and the water is getting clearer. After walking for about two hours, I knew we were reaching our destination.
這邊的水很乾淨，當然可以看到的生態更多囉~~ 越到源頭，河床的水會越少。到後來河床幾乎只是濕潤的泥土地。

The water here is very clean, and of course, there's more ecology to see~~ The closer to the source, the less water there is in the riverbed. Later, the riverbed became almost just moist mud.
後來，我終於發現大河的起源... (講得好像去溯長江、黃河一樣 XD) 就是這一滴滴從植物根部滴下來的水，一滴一滴匯集成河，流向大海！

Finally, I discovered the origin of the river... (Speaking as if I were tracing the source of the Yangtze or Yellow River XD). It's these drops of water dripping from plant roots, gathering drop by drop to form a river flowing to the sea!
