新竹是冰箱求學時期待了五年的地方。前兩天帶著阿德到新竹送帖子,原本晚餐想去城隍廟那邊吃肉圓,後來覺得了無新意。突然想到這家位於小巷子裡的清粥店,於是就驅車前往。這餐不僅是填飽肚子,更是重溫當年的回憶。

Hsinchu is where I spent five years during my student days. A few days ago, while visiting Hsinchu to deliver invitations, we initially planned to have meatballs at the City God Temple. However, we wanted something different and remembered this porridge shop tucked away in a small alley. This meal wasn't just about food; it was about revisiting old memories.
求學回憶:深夜肚子餓的救贖
記得以前讀書的時候,如果晚上出去玩到三更半夜肚子餓,都會到這家來吃。不同的是,求學時代比較窮,不可能像現在想吃啥就點。即使離開新竹已經過了好幾個年頭,那種半夜喝碗熱稀飯的感覺依然鮮明。

I remember during my student years, if we stayed out late and got hungry in the middle of the night, we would always come here. Back then we were on a tight budget, unlike now where we can order whatever we crave. Even though many years have passed since I left Hsinchu, the feeling of having a bowl of hot porridge at midnight remains vivid.
必點靈魂:念念不忘的薑絲肉
這道就是傳說中讓冰箱念念不忘的薑絲肉,一進店裡看到它,超開心二話不說先點一盤。雖然只是簡單的薑絲炒豬肉,但是手切的薑絲口感超好,配上里肌肉絲,淡淡的鹹香非常下飯。

This is the legendary Pork with Shredded Ginger that I've missed so much. I ordered a plate immediately upon seeing it. Although it's a simple dish, the hand-cut ginger has a great texture, and paired with pork tenderloin, its subtle savory flavor goes perfectly with rice or porridge.
經典家常:滷肉飯與多樣小菜
滷肉飯也是必點菜色,店家也有提供傳統的番薯粥。這裡的小菜選擇多樣,像是阿德最愛的番茄炒蛋、菜脯蛋,還有配稀飯必備的豆棗與筍乾。另外,滷得軟嫩入味的滷大腸也是極品,非常下飯。

Braised Pork Rice is a must-try, and they also offer traditional Sweet Potato Porridge. The side dishes are diverse, ranging from classic Stir-fried Eggs with Tomato and Preserved Radish Omelet to staples like sweet shredded gluten and bamboo shoots. The tender and flavorful braised large intestines are also a highlight.
懷舊湯品:鮮美入味的鹽菜鴨
最後是每次必點的鹽菜鴨湯。看著它從當初一碗35元漲到現在,喝的是滋味,也是對時光流逝的感嘆。這家是在地人才知道的小店,這一餐真的吃出了滿滿的回憶。

Finally, the Pickled Vegetable and Duck Soup is a staple of my visits. Watching the price rise from 35 NTD over the years makes me sentimental about the passing of time. This is a hidden gem known to locals, and this meal was truly a trip down memory lane.

入口即化.不油膩.路過可以去試看
