土魠魚羹是很經典道地的台灣著名小吃之一,但因為食材近年來越來越
昂貴,因此在小吃類裡面的曝光度比上肉羹、魷魚羹這些,其實不算太
高的。既然已經次小吃裡的稀有動物,如果還要兼具美味好吃,那就真
煞不簡單。最近在我們台中西區發現這家新開不久的土魠魚羹專賣店,
真的是巷子裡的隱藏版小店,那我們就一起來看看吧!
Spanish mackerel soup is one of the classic and authentic Taiwanese
snacks, but its exposure in the snack category is not as high as pork
soup or squid soup due to the increasingly expensive ingredients in
recent years. If it wants to be both rare and delicious, it is really not easy.
Recently, we discovered this newly opened Spanish mackerel soup
specialty store in the western district of Taichung. It is truly a hidden

看看,但是人年紀大了之後,不是健忘,最主要的理由還是"懶"病發作。
直到有天,我住在附近的朋友突然打電話來跟我推薦,這才讓我有造訪
的動力。
I actually noticed this shop when I drove by it a while ago, and though I thought
about coming to eat here someday, being older now, not forgetful, but mainly "lazy"
got the best of me. It wasn't until one day when a friend who lives nearby called
me and recommended it that I finally found the motivation to visit.
營業時間從早上11:30開始一直到晚上7:30,中間下午有休息一個小時的
時間,其實也等於沒休,老闆很拚。
The business hours start at 11:30am and continue until 7:30pm, with a one-hour
break in the afternoon. Although there is a break, it is essentially nonexistent as
the boss is very dedicated.
店裡的價目表如上圖,因為我也很久沒吃土魠魚羹了,不過以前印象中

土托魚羹的價錢差不多落在魷魚羹的1.5倍左右。沒辦法,現在土魠魚實
在是太貴了,所以我看一碗75元就覺得還能接受。當然,因為朋友推薦
時就有特別說魚塊是點完餐後才現炸,所以要多帶點耐心來~

雖然分開裝是多用了一個包材比較不環保,但也因為炸好另外裝不是直
接丟進去羹湯哩,所以還能先享受到炸魚塊原始的口感跟風味。

雖然外帶回家一定不比剛炸好現場吃來得美味,但意外的是直接先吃稍
微冷掉的塊,竟然還是保有一定的酥脆感。且在不加任何調味料的情況
下單吃就很夠味,尤其魚肉真的新鮮,一口接一口會不小心掃盤。
Although takeout food is never as delicious as eating it on site when it's freshly
fried, surprisingly, eating a slightly cooled piece of food still retains some crispiness.
It is flavorful enough to eat alone without any seasoning, especially when the fish is
fresh. One bite after another, you might accidentally finish the whole plate.

差不多以柴魚高湯為底,但隨著加入的食材不同,也呈現出兩種迥然不
同的風味,而且都是好吃的,南或北部人都可以接受。土魠魚羹的羹湯
大部分基本款就是加入高麗菜一起熬煮,所以會比加入筍絲的魷魚羹味
道更鮮甜感十足,但又不會像台南市區有些店那樣加糖的死甜。

as the base, they present two distinctly different flavors with different ingredients added. Both are delicious and can be accepted by people from the south or
north. The soup of the turbot soup mostly consists of cabbage boiled together,
so it has a sweeter and fresher taste compared to the squid soup that adds
bamboo shoots. However, it is not excessively sweet like some stores in
downtown Tainan that add sugar.
滿滿的高麗菜就是土魠魚羹最具代表性的地方,從南到北吃到的版本大
多是如此。最近天冷是高麗菜的產季,整體說目前這季節最美味的高麗
菜本身,也幫這碗羹湯加分不少。
The abundant use of napa cabbage is the most representative aspect of
the Spanish mackerel soup, which can be found throughout the country
with variations from north to south. As the cold weather sets in, this season
is the peak of napa cabbage production, which adds even more flavor to
this soup.
最後,當然要把炸好的魚塊丟進去羹湯裡麵泡一泡,可以體驗到跟剛剛
直接像吃鹽酥雞那樣吃炸魚,另外一種完全不同的口感及風味喔~
Finally, of course, toss the fried fish nuggets into the soup to soak for a
while. You can experience a completely different texture and flavor compared
to just eating the fried fish nuggets like salt and pepper chicken.
