忠孝路這家夜市牛排最好吃,除了白麵條還可以選擇通心粉~德洲牛排 台中小吃 南區402 The night market steak at Zhongxiao Road is the most delicious.


德洲牛排

雖然自己店裡也有牛排可吃,肉的檔次也不低,但是偶爾還是會想跑到夜
市去嗑一份小蘇打嫩筋牛排解解饞,所以今天又晃到忠孝路來。說起台中
夜市牛排的密度,我想應該首推忠孝路。沒記錯的話,這一條路上應該就
有6家以上。以前更多,因為收掉好幾家。

Although my own shop also serves steak, and the quality of the meat is not low, 
sometimes I still feel like going to the night market to satisfy my craving for a tender 
and juicy steak. So today, I wandered to Zhongxiao Road again. Speaking of the density
of steak options in Taichung night markets, I think Zhongxiao Road should be the top
recommendation. If I remember correctly, there should be at least six establishments 
on this street. There used to be even more, but several have closed down.

德洲牛排

這麼多家吃下來,能讓我一再回訪的除了忠孝牛排之外,就是旁邊這家
德洲牛排。這家我從路口轉角走廊下的小攤,一直吃到現在有店面有冷
氣可以吹,不知不覺也吃了十多年,基本上口味跟C/P值算最好。

Among all the restaurants I have tried, the one besides the loyal and dependable 
"Chung Hsiao Steakhouse" is the "Texas Steakhouse." I discovered this place when 
it was just a small stall tucked away in a corner near the intersection. Over the years,
 it has grown into a fully-fledged restaurant with air conditioning. Unknowingly,
 I have been dining here for over a decade, and I consider it to have the best combination 
of taste and value for money.

最新的價目表如上圖,最便宜的鐵板麵已經來到$90,標準版的牛、
豬、
雞、魚排等也上看$190。再來比較高價位的有羊排$300、菲力$350、
然後我最愛的丁骨已下架,取而代之是紐約客$450。說真的現在到夜市
吃牛排已經跟平價脫鉤很久囉~

The latest price list is as shown above. The cheapest teppanyaki noodles now cost 
$90, while the standard versions of beef, pork, chicken, and fish fillet are priced 
at around $190. Moving on to higher-priced options, we have lamb chops for $300 
and fillet mignon for $350. Unfortunately, my favorite T-bone steak are no longer
available, and they have been replaced with New York strip steak priced at $450.
Honestly, going to the night market for steak has been far from an affordable option 
for quite some time now.

德洲牛排

這天點的菲力牛排,我記得第一次來店用餐那時好像才賣$200,不過那
是10多年前左右的行情,現在當然沒辦法用這種價錢吃到。過去丁骨是店
最貴的,2011年第一次吃是$220,後來價格就一直往上漲,到2020年
我最後一次吃到丁骨價位已經來到$330,接著新冠疫情嚴峻進口牛肉價
格上揚,也可能店家因此就不再販售丁骨,真的好可惜。

The fillet steak on that day, if I remember correctly, was priced at around $200 when 
I first dined at the restaurant. However, that was about ten years ago, and now it's not 
possible to get it at that price. In the past, the T-bone steak was the most expensive 
item on the menu. In 2011, the first time I had it, it was $220. The price kept going up, 
and by 2020, the last time I had the T-bone steak, it was already priced at $330. Then,
due to the severe COVID-19 pandemic, imported beef prices increased, and the 
restaurant may have stopped selling the T-bone steak. It's really a pity.

之前來吃他家的丁骨牛排真的很划算,因為肉很大一塊又有點厚度,所以
肉就要一個鐵盤裝,然後另一個鐵盤裝麵跟鐵板蛋。那分量說真的,常常
吃不完還把鐵板麵打包回家當消夜。$330好大一桌真的滿足感飽飽,不過
這一切只能在記憶中回味了!

I used to dine at their restaurant and their T-bone steak was really worth it. The steak
was large and thick, so it was served on one iron plate, while the noodles and fried egg
were served on another iron plate. The portion was so generous that I often couldn't 
finish it and had to take the iron plate noodles home as a late-night snack. It was a great
deal at $330 for such a satisfying and filling meal. However, all of these memories can 
only be savored in my mind now!

德洲牛排

生菜沙拉自己配,千島醬是店家自己用番茄醬調的,口味比較重一點。除
了餐包一份餐點限取兩個之外,其他都是隨便你吃。

You can make your own lettuce salad, and the Thousand Island dressing is made by
the restaurant using tomato sauce, which gives it a slightly heavier flavor. Apart from 
limiting the meal to two items per person, you can have as much of everything else as 
you want.

玉米濃湯表現很夜市,不用期待有太多驚豔之處。題外話,忠孝路上的牛
排店,最好喝的玉米濃湯應該是德洲旁路口斜對面的黑鐵灶,聽說他們家
的主廚以前在台北兄弟飯店做過。可惜的是,之前吃的感想就只有玉米濃
湯跟西餐廳的做法很像是炒麵粉炒出來那種做法,牛排的話就謝謝不聯絡!

Corn chowder in night markets doesn't have many remarkable features. By the way, 
the best-tasting corn chowder in the beefsteak restaurant on Zhongxiao Road is
supposedly at the black iron stove diagonally across the intersection. I heard that 
their head chef used to work at the Brother Hotel in Taipei. Unfortunately, my impression from eating there before was that the corn chowder tasted like a version of fried flour, 
similar to the way it's done in Western restaurants. As for the steak, I'd rather not comment!

德洲牛排

菲力牛排原肉以蝴蝶刀片成排,鐵板直接大火香煎。因為店家很貼心還有
提供海鹽,所以想先嚐肉的原味可以請店加醬料另外給不要淋上去。德洲
牛排的醬料不錯吃,我的吃法都是綜合蘑菇醬加黑胡椒醬。

The fillet steak is sliced with a butterfly knife and seared directly on a hot iron plate. 
The restaurant also provides sea salt, so if you want to taste the natural flavor of the 
meat, you can ask them to provide the sauce separately without pouring it on top. 
The sauce for Texas-style steak is delicious, and I like to mix mushroom sauce with 
black pepper sauce.

肉煎起來約7分熟,處理過的原肉口感就不需要再講了,還吃得到點肉汁。

The meat is cooked to approximately medium rare, retaining its tender texture and 
still allowing for a slight juiciness.

最後是這個通心粉,因為一般的夜市牛排不論是白麵或是油麵,頂多供應
單一種類的麵條,但是這邊另外有準備通心粉給客人選用。說真的比起麵
條,吃通心粉得到的飽足感比較沒那麼高,不過吸飽醬汁的通心粉吃起來
滑溜滑溜的口感挺不錯,重點是跟別人不一樣的特別感~

Finally, there's the macaroni option. Unlike regular night market steaks that typically 
come with either white noodles or oily noodles, here they also offer macaroni for 
customers to choose from. To be honest, compared to noodles, macaroni doesn't provide
as much satisfaction in terms of fullness. However, when soaked in the sauce, the slippery
texture of the macaroni is quite enjoyable. The best part is that it's something different 
and unique from what others usually offer.
