回想過去還沒開始當美食部落客時,其實許多小吃或美食,都是我參加車
隊的車友帶路帶出來的。還記得那時買了人生第一台自己的車,幾乎每天
一有空都會跟車友們車聚來車聚去,這家老董一品香也是以前去草屯打茫
車友帶去吃午餐的,算算日子13年就這樣過去,真是歲月催人老。
原本老老闆還在的時候營業時間是09:00~20:30,事故身亡後店裡有歇業好
Looking back to the past before I started my career as a food blogger, many
of the snacks or delicacies that I tried were actually introduced to me by my
fellow car club members. I still remember when I bought my first car and
almost every day I would join my car buddies for gatherings and drives. One
day, we went to Caotun and my friend took us to have lunch at Lao Dong
Yi Pin Xiang. It's been 13 years since then, and time really flies by.
只是這天剛好開車晃到南投這邊,日前聽到該店又復業的消息,心想既來
之則吃之。反正距離上次吃至少也超過8年以上,又加上老闆換人我想也
等於是家新店囉。只是這家店在網路上的評價似乎不是很OK,不過我們
就單純討論餐點就好,店家態度良窳就留給廣大網友公評。然後不要跟我
有點來吃過了。
This shop had closed for a period of time due to the passing of the previous
owner. Personally, I didn't make a special trip to go there, but I happened to
be driving around Nantou and heard that the shop had reopened. Since it had
been at least 8 years since I last ate there and with a new owner, I thought it
would be worth a try. However, the shop's online reviews don't seem to be very favorable, but let's just focus on discussing the food and leave the attitude of the shop to be reviewed by the wider online community. Also, please don't tell me
that their famous dish is the dumplings. If you want to see the previous delicious version of their dumplings, please click here, as I had already tried them in 2008.

一段時間,直到前陣子才聽說又復業,然後營業時間也改成10:30~16:00,
晚上現在是不供餐的。公休日跟以前一樣,還是固定休禮拜天。
基本上店內整體跟我十多年前第一次來的時候比幾乎都一樣,牆上有趣的
醬料台呈現一個很空虛的狀態,生鮮辛香料如蔥花、辣椒、香菜等你想到
這張是現在最新的價格,雖然我個人看起來是還好,不過卻忽略這是鄉下
這餐真的是為了吃而吃,因為來之前我已經在中寮的石龍宮讓土地公請吃
海帶(30元) 沒有蔥花又淋醬油膏是一大敗筆,不然滷汁也算有滷入味,尤
豆干(30元) 一樣沒蔥花,然後我不喜歡他們家醬油的風味。記得以前來
牛肉麵(110元) 店裡提供的是紅燒湯頭,每碗都有紅、白蘿蔔各一塊。
紅燒牛肉的部位是採用帶筋膜的牛條肉,基本上已經燒得相當火候,吃起
湯頭部分是紅燒湯頭,因為聽說店家有家傳的香料加持,所以喝起來會有
麵條部分是機器細麵,我個人覺得煮得有點爛,湯多泡久一點會糊掉,表

Recently, it reopened with new business hours of 10:30 to 16:00, with no dinner service available. The day off remains the same as before, with the store closed on
Sundays.
基本上店內整體跟我十多年前第一次來的時候比幾乎都一樣,牆上有趣的
字畫依然高懸,只是人事已非呀~~~
Basically, the overall appearance of the store is almost the same as when I
first came here more than ten years ago. The interesting calligraphy on the
wall still hangs high, but the personnel are no longer the same.
醬料台呈現一個很空虛的狀態,生鮮辛香料如蔥花、辣椒、香菜等你想到
的都沒有。辣椒有辣油跟辣豆瓣醬兩種,辣豆瓣醬有點鹹。
The condiment station appears to be quite empty, with no fresh herbs or
spices such as scallions, chili peppers, and cilantro. There are two types of
chili sauce available, which are spicy oil and spicy bean paste. The spicy
bean paste is a bit salty.
這張是現在最新的價格,雖然我個人看起來是還好,不過卻忽略這是鄉下
草屯,那就真的有稍微高了一點,人家大雅牛肉麵也才100元就吃得到了。
This is the latest price, and although it seems fine to me personally, I am overlooking the fact that this is in the countryside of Caotun, where it is
slightly higher. You can get a bowl of beef noodle soup at Tai Ya Restaurant for only NT$100.
這餐真的是為了吃而吃,因為來之前我已經在中寮的石龍宮讓土地公請吃
過泡麵了。如果要點牛肉麵水餃一定吃不下,那就先放棄水餃先。
I am eating this meal solely for the sake of eating, because before coming
here, I already had instant noodles as a treat from the local deity at Shilong
Temple in Zhongliao. If I order beef noodles and dumplings, I definitely
won't be able to finish them, so I'll just give up on the dumplings for now.
海帶(30元) 沒有蔥花又淋醬油膏是一大敗筆,不然滷汁也算有滷入味,尤
其是這種市場發好的海帶,能滷到入味真的很可以了。
豆干(30元) 一樣沒蔥花,然後我不喜歡他們家醬油的風味。記得以前來
的時候還有看到滷得入味又切得極薄的牛肚跟牛筋,這次去也沒看到,可
能絕版了吧?

The dried tofu (30 NT$) still didn't come with scallions, and I don't like
the flavor of their soy sauce. I remember seeing thinly sliced and
well-marinated beef tripe and tendon on the menu when I came before,
but I didn't see it this time. It might have been discontinued.
牛肉麵(110元) 店裡提供的是紅燒湯頭,每碗都有紅、白蘿蔔各一塊。
紅燒牛肉的部位是採用帶筋膜的牛條肉,基本上已經燒得相當火候,吃起
來軟嫩不柴。不過純粹個人喜好問題,我並沒有很喜歡吃牛條肉做成的牛
肉麵,所以牛肉部分就這樣帶過。
The cut of beef used in braised beef dishes is typically the beef shank with
tendons and fascia. It is cooked to a very tender and flavorful state. However,
this is purely a personal preference, as I am not particularly fond of beef
shank in my beef noodle soup, so I will just leave it at that.
湯頭部分是紅燒湯頭,因為聽說店家有家傳的香料加持,所以喝起來會有
一股很濃郁的中藥材香味。這比較類似川味牛肉麵的湯頭,對許多人來說
會覺得很鹹,但其實鹹香才是川味牛肉湯頭的精隨啊!酸菜會預先加進去,
如果不喜歡記得點餐的時候要先講。
The broth used in this dish is prepared using a red-cooking technique and is enriched with a powerful combination of herbs and spices that are a part of
the restaurant's heritage. As a result, it has a unique aroma that evokes
memories of the soup base used in Sichuan-style beef noodles. Although
some people may perceive it as salty, the salty fragrance is, in fact, an essential element of the soup base in Sichuan-style beef dishes. Furthermore, the broth contains pickled vegetables that are added beforehand, so if you don't prefer
them, it's crucial to mention it while ordering.
麵條部分是機器細麵,我個人覺得煮得有點爛,湯多泡久一點會糊掉,表
現一般般沒啥討論的點。反正這家店址是多年以後再訪做個紀錄,但坦白
說以目前的水準品質以及小菜的種類不多的狀況下,除非真的沒東西吃,
實在也沒有專程回訪的必要囉,大家就參考吧!
The noodle portion was machine-made thin noodles, which I personally felt
were cooked a bit too soft. If left in the soup for too long, they tended to get
mushy and lose their texture. Overall, the performance was nothing worth discussing. I'll revisit this restaurant in a few years to keep a record, but
honestly, given the current level of quality and the limited variety of side
dishes, unless there's really nothing else to eat, there's no need to make a
special trip back. Take it as you will!
