說到這家在成都路楓康超市前,每周六晚上才有擺的「生炒花枝羹」,我想對於許多台中嗜吃這一味的老饕們應該都不會感到陌生。
雖然聽說他們其他日子也有在一點利市場那邊營業,不過地點、時間每次問我每次忘,只好等到三不五時剛好禮拜六自己「熊熊想起來」的機會才有緣嚐到。

Speaking of this "Raw Stir-fried Squid Thick Soup" stall that only appears on Saturday nights in front of the Feng Kang Supermarket on Chengdu Road, I believe many Taichung foodies who love this flavor are very familiar with it.
Although I've heard they operate near the Yidianli Market on other days, I always forget the exact location and time whenever I ask. So, I can only rely on the rare occasions when I suddenly remember it on a Saturday night to satisfy my craving.
1. 尋找螢火蟲落空的美食補償
禮拜六傍晚興致勃勃帶著腳架前往中正露營區想拍螢火蟲,結果車開到一半下起了毛毛雨,當下覺得不妙,因為下雨螢火蟲就回家了。果然這趟賞螢之旅變成小白坳山路之旅,北坑巷還滿好坯的,哇哈哈哈~
只看到個體戶螢火蟲出來亮相,當然照片一張都沒拍到,下山覓食吧!結果開到一半發現今天是禮拜六,出發總有個方向,我們往成都路去!攤子就擺在成都路楓康超市前的飛利浦照明騎樓前,按照慣例來這邊就是一份炒麵一碗花枝羹。

On Saturday evening, I enthusiastically took my tripod to the Zhongzheng Camping Ground to photograph fireflies. However, it started drizzling halfway there. I knew it was a bad sign because fireflies go home when it rains. As expected, this firefly-watching trip turned into a mountain road driving trip in my white car.
Since I didn't get any good photos, I decided to head down the mountain to find some food! Then I realized it was Saturday! With a clear destination in mind, we headed towards Chengdu Road! The stall is set up right in front of the Philips Lighting arcade, opposite the Feng Kang Supermarket. As usual, my order here is a plate of fried noodles and a bowl of squid thick soup.
2. 機器炒麵與老闆的小失誤
很久沒來吃了,炒麵還是 30 塊錢一碗。他們家的特色是炒麵是用機器真的是「炒」的,不是黃麵燙熟淋肉燥而已。
不過這天去吃的炒麵發現有點乾,之前去吃的炒麵比較濕潤滑口,還好加了點烏醋及店家自製的蒜蓉辣椒之後有改善一點。

It's been a long time since I last visited. The fried noodles are still 30 NTD a bowl. Their specialty is that the noodles are actually "stir-fried" using a machine, not just blanched yellow noodles topped with minced meat sauce.
However, the fried noodles I had this time were a bit dry. The ones I had before were moister and smoother. Fortunately, adding some black vinegar and the store's homemade garlic chili sauce improved the taste a bit.
3. 誠意滿滿的現炒花枝羹
接下來看的是生炒花枝羹,價格跟我上次去買一樣是 60 元一碗。花枝的數量還是給得不少,只是跟之前的食記比較一下,發現好像以前的花枝有比較大塊一點。我想這也是沒辦法,因為這幾年下來花枝的價格也水漲船高囉。
真的給的花枝數量還不少啦,跟一些幾乎都是湯汁然後只有兩三塊花枝的店家比,已經很佛心了。
湯頭是每鍋都由老闆親自用蒜末、胡蘿蔔絲、沙茶、新鮮花枝、九層塔、辣椒等現炒而成。記得之前還有吃到高麗菜,不過這回去好像沒有看到老闆有加?至少我碗裡沒有~也是有可能剛好是鍋底被撈光了,加點烏醋拌勻,還是一樣好喝喔。
反正每次沒特別注意總是錯過營業時間,對我來說要吃到就是等運氣自己有想到。如果想吃的朋友,就記得禮拜六晚上在成都路、寧夏路口附近楓康超市對面,就可以看到老闆擺攤了!
這次老闆不知道會不會跟上次一樣跑來看我的文,如果有的話.....

Next up is the raw stir-fried squid thick soup, which costs 60 NTD per bowl, same as my last visit. They still give a good amount of squid, although compared to my previous review, the pieces seem a bit smaller now. I guess it can't be helped, as the price of squid has risen over the years.
But honestly, the portion of squid is still generous compared to some places where you mostly get soup with just two or three pieces of squid.
The soup base is stir-fried to order by the boss himself, using minced garlic, shredded carrots, shacha sauce, fresh squid, basil, and chili. I remember having cabbage in it before, but it seemed missing this time. Maybe I just got the bottom of the pot. Adding some black vinegar and mixing it well, it's still as delicious as ever.
Anyway, I often miss their business hours if I don't pay attention. For me, eating here is all about luck and suddenly remembering it. If you want to try it, just remember to look for the boss's stall on Saturday nights near the intersection of Chengdu Road and Ningxia Road, opposite the Feng Kang Supermarket!
I wonder if the boss will read my article again this time. If so...
