「肉圓仔」是什麼?大家可別跟大顆的彰化肉圓混為一談喔!其實肉圓仔,就是我們耳熟能詳,裡面包肉的鹹湯圓,又稱元宵。台中賣湯圓的店家有幾家,但是我比較常去消費的,還是位於忠孝夜市這家無名的小攤子!

What is "Rou Yuan Zai" (Meat Yuan Zai)? Don't confuse it with the large, deep-fried Taiwanese Meatballs (Bawan)! "Rou Yuan Zai" is actually savory tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) stuffed with minced meat, also known as Yuanxiao. There are several shops selling tangyuan in Taichung, but the one I visit most often is this unnamed little stall located on Zhongxiao Road!
攤位環境與點餐方式
之前都是晚上的時候來,這邊光線不好,所以沒辦法把攤子拍完整。這次挑剛開始營業的傍晚,天還亮著,終於可以一窺全貌!現在看到的備料簡簡單單,因為沒有菜單,所以基本上看到什麼就點什麼吃。不過不須擔心沒價目表這件事,除非你要吃兩碗麵,不然一頓下來要破百元有難度!
攤子後面有室內座位,但我覺得來到這種老攤,就是要坐在攤頭吃麵才有味道!

I used to come here at night when the lighting was poor, so I couldn't take a complete picture of the stall. This time, I chose to visit in the late afternoon just as they opened, while it was still bright, finally giving a clear view! The prepared ingredients look very simple. There is no menu, so you basically order whatever you see. But don't worry about the lack of a price list—unless you order two bowls of noodles, it's difficult to spend more than 100 NTD for a meal here!
There is indoor seating behind the stall, but I feel that eating right at the stall counter gives the most authentic, nostalgic vibe!
餐點介紹:乾麵與滷鴨蛋
午餐沒吃又近晚餐時間,那這一套就是不折不扣的下午茶囉~
乾麵 (25元):基本上可以選油麵、陽春麵、米粉跟粿仔條,一碗 25 元真的很難相信這家店離火車站走路只要 10 分鐘。
碗底還有大量韭菜跟豆芽,吃的時候要多翻幾下攪拌喔。陽春麵條雖然是一般機器製作,但是煮麵的火候掌握得很恰當,軟硬適中口感彈牙。
滷鴨蛋 (15元):紮紮實實的大顆鴨蛋下去滷,走的不是很入味派,但是吃得到鴨蛋本身的香味。如果是搭配麵類一起吃,則一顆變 10 元,也就是有麵有蛋,只要 35 元,真的便宜。

Dry Noodles (25 NTD): You can choose from yellow noodles, plain noodles (Yangchun noodles), rice vermicelli, or flat rice noodles. It's hard to believe a bowl is only 25 NTD, especially since this place is just a 10-minute walk from the train station. There are plenty of chives and bean sprouts at the bottom of the bowl, so make sure to mix it well before eating. Although the noodles are machine-made, they are cooked perfectly—chewy and just the right texture.
Braised Duck Egg (15 NTD): It's a large, solid duck egg. It's not heavily braised with strong flavors, but you can taste the natural aroma of the duck egg itself. If you order it with noodles, the egg is discounted to 10 NTD. This means a bowl of noodles with an egg is only 35 NTD—truly a bargain!
招牌必點:肉圓仔湯
肉圓仔湯 (40元):每碗有四顆手工肉圓仔,現點現煮,需要稍候 10 分鐘左右。裡頭的肉餡呈現方式很純粹,就是精肉泥,也沒像五香或其他辛香料來搶味。
湯頭部分是很傳統的肉燥醬油湯,味道很清爽,感覺好像沒有加味精,所以重口味的建議不要來這邊吃,會失望。但如果喜歡嘗點原味,這家小店真的還不錯唷!

Meat Tangyuan Soup (40 NTD): Each bowl comes with four handmade meat-stuffed tangyuan. They are cooked to order, so you'll need to wait about 10 minutes. The meat filling is very pure—just finely minced meat, without strong spices like five-spice powder overpowering the taste.
The broth is a traditional minced pork and soy sauce soup. It tastes very refreshing and feels like there's no added MSG. Therefore, if you prefer heavy flavors, you might be disappointed here. But if you appreciate original, clean flavors, this little shop is definitely worth a visit!
