吃的。雖然這家店從幾百年前朋友介紹給我的時候,就一直叫我不要曝光。

You're absolutely right! If you're a barbecue lover in Taichung City, you can't call yourself a true foodie if you haven't tried this place. Although my friend, who introduced this place to me ages ago, has always told me not to expose it, after all these years, I just want to say to my good friend:
"Don't worry, even if they find the place, they won't necessarily get to eat it...."
I often find myself missing out. The owner is too casual about their opening hours! Later, I changed my strategy. Now, as long as I pass by and they're open, regardless of whether I really want to eat it or not, I buy it first and ask questions later. This time was no exception~~

好了,這是店裡的價目表,賣的品項就這些,差別只有辣跟不辣。過去半
成品老闆會展示在攤子前的架上,基本上還有沒有庫存經過看一下就知。
不過近年來可能為了衛生問題,老闆沒有再把半成品擺出來展示,想吃什
麼直接跟老闆娘點用,近幾年來還沒遇到完售的。其實說真的,經濟不景
氣真的讓人有感啊~
Okay, here's the shop's price list. These are all the items they sell, the only difference is spicy or non-spicy. In the past, the boss would display the semi-finished products on a shelf in front of the stall, so you could basically tell at a glance if there was any stock left. But in recent years, probably due to hygiene concerns, the boss has stopped displaying the semi-finished products. If you want to eat something, just order it directly from the proprietress. I haven't encountered anything being sold out in recent years. Actually, to be honest, the economic downturn is really being felt...

這是我每次的標準配置,基本上就是一隻烤雞腿($110)、一隻烤雞翅($45)、
一串雞胗($35)、加上一串七里香($35)。現場可以內用,大家可以到對面全家
買個飲料或是啤酒過去配。我現在是基於酒後不開車原則,基本上都是外帶回
家配酒,這樣比較安全!
This is my standard order every time: one roasted chicken leg ($110), one roasted chicken wing ($45), one skewer of chicken gizzard ($35), and one skewer of Qilixiang ($35). They have seating available if you want to eat there. You could grab a drink or a beer from the FamilyMart across the street to go with it. But I follow the principle of not drinking and driving, so I usually take it home to enjoy with a drink. It's safer that way!

烤雞腿採用整隻大雞排的大雞腿為原料,經過店家特製的醃料處理
後老闆會先預炸成半成品。等到客人點用後,再現場以炭火刷降加工
烤製。所以不管室內用還是外帶,大家最後應該都會發現店家是把肉
跟皮分開放的。
The roasted chicken legs are made with large chicken legs from whole chicken thighs. After being marinated in the shop's special marinade, the owner pre-fries them until they're partially cooked. When a customer places an order, they finish them off over charcoal, brushing them with sauce as they grill. So whether you're dining in or taking out, you'll notice that the shop serves the meat and skin separately.

每隻雞腿都會附上一小舟檸檬,吃之前先淋上檸檬汁既增添風味,最重要
的是儀式感十足唷~
Each chicken leg comes with a small boat of lemon. Squeezing the lemon juice over the chicken before eating not only enhances the flavor, but most importantly, adds to the sense of ritual!

至於這塊雞皮我真的就不用多作介紹了,吃起來像餅乾的口感,可是老闆
用時間慢慢淬鍊出來的。而且很公平的是每一份就只有這一片,想多吃還
沒單獨賣咧。很多人甘願像我常常撲空還是來,其實也是為了這一口。
As for this piece of chicken skin, I don't really need to elaborate. Its cracker-like texture is the result of the owner's slow and meticulous process. And it's quite fair—each order comes with just this one piece. Even if you want more, they don't sell it separately! Many people, like me, are willing to risk coming here and potentially missing out, all for this one bite.

肉的部分早就吸飽了醬汁,醬汁風味是很典型偏甜的台式燒肉醬,一口
烤雞腿一口冰涼的啤酒,相信我這是最美味的吃法之一,不喝酒的配上
世界通行的肥仔快樂水也很對味喔~
The meat has already absorbed the sauce, which is a typical sweet Taiwanese barbecue sauce. Trust me, a bite of roast chicken leg followed by a sip of ice-cold beer is one of the most delicious ways to enjoy it. For those who don't drink alcohol, pairing it with the universally loved "fat boy happy water" (Cocacola) is also a perfect match!
