離開天池之後，已經是下午囉，而早上的豔陽已經被烏雲遮住了。雖然是同一個路線往回走，但其實並不輕鬆。一來上山那段走完，腳已經很痠囉。二來我們用餐是要回到出發地點才用，這時體力已經消耗不少。最重要的是，因為怕遇到下雨無處躲，所以必須加緊腳步趕路。
It was already afternoon when we left the crater lake, and dark clouds had covered the morning sun. Although we were walking back on the same route, it wasn't easy. First, my legs were already sore from the trek up. Second, we hadn't eaten lunch yet as we planned to eat back at the starting point, so my energy was running low. Most importantly, we had to hurry because we were afraid of getting caught in the rain with nowhere to hide.

經過約兩個半小時辛苦的腳力大考驗，終於我們到達火山口了。原本以為看到的會是冒著煙的火山口，還夾雜著陣陣的硫磺味。事實證明，我之前真的想太多了。自從十七年前爆發之後，皮納圖博火山再度進入休眠狀態。原本噴出四十公里高火山灰的火山口，因為時光的變遷，已經積水成為所謂的天池。當我第一眼看到的時候，真的感覺宛如人間仙境，嘴裡一直念著: MAGANDA...MAGANDA.. (MAGANDA 是菲律賓話美麗的意思)。跋山涉水的辛苦，在這一刻都化做值得！
After about 2.5 hours of strenuous trekking, we finally reached the crater. I expected to see a smoking crater with the smell of sulfur, but it turns out I overthought it. Since the eruption 17 years ago, Mount Pinatubo has gone dormant again. The crater, which once spewed ash 40km high, has transformed into a crater lake over time. When I first saw it, it felt like a fairyland. I kept murmuring, "MAGANDA... MAGANDA..." (Maganda means "beautiful" in Tagalog). All the hardships of trekking were worth it at this moment!

每一道洪流，都是從滴水開始產生的，這也是溯溪給人最大的啟示。溯溪這名詞我老早以前就知道了，不過要做這件事我可是想都沒想過。我只能說，這趟旅程充滿了太多的驚奇。每一件都是到了現場才臨時趕鴨子上架去完成的。
Every torrent begins with a single drop of water—this is the greatest lesson river trekking teaches us. I've known the term "River Trekking" for a long time, but I never thought I'd actually do it. This trip was full of surprises, with everything happening spontaneously on the spot.
